The
process of comparing the impact of the Economic Growth and Tax
Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 to your personal tax situation
is quite easy.
Please
keep in mind that the calculator will calculate an estimate of
your 2001 taxes and also will make a calculation based on the
ultimate provisions of the tax code through the year 2010. Some
of these provisions (such as the reduction of the 15% tax bracket
down to 10%) are being implemented in 2001. Other provisions will
be implemented in subsequent years. Some, such as the increase
of the child tax credit to $1,000, will not be implemented until
the year 2010.
