Periodical subscriptions are usually "weeded" or cancelled if they are
used six or less times a year. It is at this point that interlibrary loan
or document delivery of requested articles becomes more cost
effective than periodical subscription for the
Mabee Learning Center.

normal MLC weeding/withdrawal process.

Such Decisions Must Be Related To The Primarily Undergraduate Curriculum Program Of The University, Anticipated Future Periodical / Standing Order Budgets, Space In Building For Periodicals, Value To Succeeding Generations Of Faculty And Students, Availability In Local Or Nearby Libraries, InterLibrary Loan Or Courier Considerations, Necessity Of Indexing In Sources Owned Or Leased By The Library, And The Type Of Format Most Needed Or Desired By Students.
